Wow, you were right, azriona, I did really enjoy the review you wrote for "More Than True." In fact, it's a lot more insightful than the story itself, IMO! XD I'm delighted my writing served as a springboard for such a cool analysis of Jack-as-Hero (which, BTW, I totally agree with), and it's always relief to know the thematic material I was working in *did* make it through and out the other side to the reader. ;)

(Next up on the meta-deck: an analysis of Jack as an *archetypal* "Jack" = morally ambiguous trickster-hero . . .) ;) (Can you tell I spend way too much time thinking about this stuff?)

I think it would be great amounts of fun to write up a full essay on Jack-as-hero, and discuss how he fits into the idea of a modern fairy tale, based on classic mythological formats.

But then, I'm weird.

But I'm glad you enjoyed the review, because I enjoyed your story! :)
