Today has been an amazing day in many ways.
The day began sometime yesterday and found me at school early to work on my stats assignments with Janice to see if i could actually pass the class. After a while we quit and I went to an LSPIRG Board Meeting, which i was very happy to not have to be chairing (Josh, you ROCK!). After some long, and frankly suprising debate we got 'reducing our ecological footprint' as one of the goals of the strategic plan. Overall the meeting was good and it was really nice to just be able to sit there and criticize and argue policies. I like that a lot. Governance is neat.
After that was choir, which is always one of the most refreshing things for my week. We sang Big Yellow Taxi, Give Peace a Chance, and a bunch of other songs. WOO. I love choir sooo much. There is an awesome and knowledgable group of people. So much positive energy and loveliness. It is truely splendid. I hope this atmosphere can last. And i think it will be able to. =) - my heart is exploding with goodness right now- woo.
After choir i was home, had a brief nap, got a bit of work done, then had a good conversation with Laura and we decided that our relationship was not working and that it was at an end point. (this came after i had spent nearly two days MIA (or AWOL as she cleverly put it) and in a deep state of contempt for what i can only term as 'the masses.' I've been angry and frustrated, at myself primarily for my own failures (percieved and real) and they all came to a head after failing my stats exam thursday.
Anyways, we had a good talk (i think) and decided that separate ways was right.
Then, i was off to school for what turned out to be a 7 hour odysse in the library with energy drinks and raunchy cheesey hot dogs from 7/11. Good conversations with sasha and mark ensued and Paul came to work with me at 5 am. We chilled on the 7th floor of the library till 6:25 when we raced to uptown waterloo to watch a beautiful sunrise from the top of the parkade. We just chilled and floated (a side effect of tiredness and energy drinks) and talked about beautiful things such as renting a parking spot and parking an old car there and turning it into a garden.... it was grand.
Then back to young street for omlets and coffee, then back the 7th floor for more work, and pushups inbetween the stacks. Evenutally we both got some decent work done and so at 11 we headed to wilfs for lunch and a pint with a group of amazing people. T'was grand. I was a crack monkey today. It was fun. I miss it, i miss my energy and enthusiasm. I've got to bring it back (so i've got to sleep less!!??) oi. Haha.
After, we were off to the 2-4 lounge to pretend to work, a brief nap, then i reclused myself back to the 7th floor of the library where i am burning through the first draft of my next paper. Still have soo much to do, although it is seeming to be managable. I've just got to finish stats today (Strike that, the wonderful Janice just finished it, YOU are Rock AWESOME!) and the Social Ecology paper for tonight, while hopefully getting a LOT done on my other papers and stating to study for my exams. YEAH!
Excitement and anticipation of this summer is boiling over. I want it now... but moreso, it is going to be really frikking sweet when it gets here. Wooo.
Oh, and Documentation rulez!!
To those that read this. I love you. =)
more post about crazy week to come for sure!
Peace and hugs and love. (and renewed energy vigour and optimism, FUCK YA!)
