Holiday Cards
I’ve been looking high and low for cards that I can send out to my friends and family.
I didn’t think it would be this difficult.
Choices
The Jesusfied Card:
After a pseudo puritanical upbringing I’m still uncomfortable with religious images. I adore religious art but I feel that I would have to put a disclaimer on the back.
*Note while G does appreciate the cultural significance of Western Christian art she does not endorse any Christian denomination. In fact G selected this piece because of the gay subtext.
The Santafied Card:
No way. Maybe if I could find a card with Joseph Stalin dressed as Santa. That would be truly awesome.
The Peace on Earth Card
What?
Chanukah:
I’m not Jewish but if I could find cards that are cute I might send some out.
The Verdict:
I will need to create a new holiday. I might go with a Caribbean theme and everyone gets to carry around a beer stein with their name engraved on the bottom. I will call it the Festival of G.
