The latest trend in my family is FISH SOUP. =O=
Well, I actually love fish soup, and the fish soup my papa makes is rather good too! (Maybe because the fish he uses is fresh? idk?) But it was 7 meals of fish soup last week (I also had fish soup for lunch twice because I was back at Yishun and they had nice fish soup nearby, I guess I might have been asking for it? XD), and this week, it just got too much. I mean, it was fish soup for Sat lunch, Sat dinner, Sun dinner, Mon dinner, Tues dinner - that makes 4 consecutive dinners of fish soup orz - I protested against having fish soup for dinner on Wed.
I thought you like it - my mum said. Yes, yes, I do! I love fish soup. But not for every meal. T____T I'm not sure she understands though - she's someone who has been eating chee cheong fun from the same stall for breakfast every single day for the past I don't even recall how many years. (I remember back when I was a kid, I was once crazy about some cornflake and ate it every day for breakfast. After running through a few boxes of that cornflake, I ended up puking one day and never touched it since. Uh, point being, I think it's amazing how my mum can continue eating the same food for breakfast for years!) Today's dinner was supposed to be fish soup again. >> Papa bought me fried mee suan instead. Yay mee suan~
Secret Garden. It's a Korean drama, surprise surprise. I'm not into sappy romance stories, and by the logic that Korean dramas (or what I've seen of them) = weepy romance stories, I usually don't bother watching Korean dramas. This one was on recommendation by my cousin (the one who I always borrow DVDs from) who provided the show as well, so it was convenient to try.
Well, I enjoyed it~ It's a romance comedy, which I'm fine with, I LOVE the main characters and (spoiler for ending) it has a happy ending~ :D
The lead couple are an adorable pair~ The female lead is a cool stuntwoman (yes, the stunt double not the pretty-doll female actresses). The male lead is a snobbish rich heir who has his beliefs about how society works for the rich and treats marriage like a business merger - and his opinion doesn't immediately change just because he falls in love with the female lead. I liked how his character was developed over the show.
The story involves bodyswap, and even though my first thought when I heard about it was uh, that cliche? =_=, it turned out to be fun! The actor playing the male lead is FABULOUS acting as a girl~ XD Like there is one scene when the girl is in the guy's body and he accidentally kisses with the guy's cousin (who is a singer and the girl is his fan). He has bashful and savouring the kiss down pat (while the cousin and the girl - who's actually the guy - are totally disgusted). X3
Second couple is the guy's cousin and his first love. The cousin is a popular singer, charming, full of airs, the playboy whose only love was his first love, not too bright, but adorable. :3 The first love is a capable rich "bitch" who was hurt due to a misunderstanding. The "third party" is a young music genius who the cousin desperately wants to groom - except that the cousin isn't gay and the music genius is.
There're some parts of the plot that don't make the most sense, but don't think too hard about those, and overall it's a very enjoyable show~~
