Witches Ball 2008
Okay, okay, this isn't a list - but, it is an idea and it may lead to an entry on a list. I took some flack from friends about the list idea and understandably so, I suppose. Though, when I look around the home office and the atelier (my name for my crafty/altar space), I think I need some organization and listing tops the pile of ideas. Well, I'll see what happens.
Anyway, yesterday on the way home from work I stopped at Target. For some reason, I don't shop there often. They had some lovely items on sale (and none were what I went in for, of course). I found a deep reddish/burgundy evening bag that I purchased. It is a simple envelope shape (I will post photos as soon as I can find the camera cable (hmmmm...shall I list the lost item?)). I am enamored of it and want to use it. I may have a few opportunities between now and next holiday season - but, the one event it would be perfect for would be the Witches Ball. Can you believe it - I am already planning an outfit around this bag!?!?!
I have in mind a knitted corset top of a similar color. With that, a long black or charcoal gray skirt with a bit of a train. I'll have to work on this idea and get knitting. I'd vowed not to start any new knitting projects for a while. I might have to rationalize this and make a determination. I am thinking that since I came up with the idea for the project before the beginning of the new year, it can be considered an 'old' project and will be okay to add to the knittng list. Does that work?? :-)
