Steven and I just got back from seeing BT at Workplay. I thought we were going to see a DJ set, but instead we saw BT play with a band, and it was soooo awesome! The two accompanists played an electric mandolin and a base guitar. BT played guitar, base violin, keyboard, xylophone, and a bunch of other instruments. We also happened to run in to one of our old neighbors from our last apartment complex. Apparently she's moved to California and back since we saw her last. For BT's last song he had a video tribute to his 2-year-old daughter, which was so beautiful that I almost cried. For the encore BT did a cover of Mad World from Donnie Darko that is one of the most awesome covers I have ever heard, ranking right up there with the cover of Another Brick in the Wall that Keller Williams played at Bonnaroo. I didn't realize I was going to see a live band tonight, but I'm so glad I did. As I say in the post about every great show...wow!
