wastewater treatment zen
I got whacked on the head by a zen master while I was working today. There I was mopping the floor when BAM! Out of nowhere I was struck squarely in the forehead with a metal pipe. Then I realized that I actually ran into the valve handle of one of the pipes. I was so mad that the pipe was there. Then I realized that the only reason that I hit the pipe was that I was not paying attention. It was the same thing that Zen masters do to their students when the students are lost in thought. As soon as I realized that this was training and not unfortunate at all, the throbbing pain disappearred. Left a nice welt on my head, but didn't hurt a bit. It was a strangely profound experience.
