Welcome 2008
....and so it begins, now it's 2008 here and soon it will be there. So let me wish you all a very happy new year, may it be filled with success, happiness and joy.
Looking back at 2007, i've had a few life changing experiences both good and bad.
The bad being the passing of my grandfather, and my mother being operated on, but both have helped me for the good, and made me stronger i'm sure.
For the good, well i've met so many new friends at university, and finally got to take a trip to Canada and America.
My most memorable moments from those sides
-Helping press the button on the cremating machine, one of the hardest things i've had to do.
-Meeting Tina in New York, and physically petting her on the head in the middle of a Starbucks on 5th avenue.
-Making new friends, and being dubbed an "academic fairy godfather" of about 13 kids.
-Starting to play golf, and somehow managing to hit the ball up, across and backwards behind me, just missing the person in the next driving range bay.
...and so once again I say goodbye 2007, it was nice knowing you, welcome 2008 and hopefully the surprise it will bring.
