Hello You want things to become crystal clear within minutes. You expect your feelings to be settled when you know you can't force them to. I thought about asking someone else to tell you this because you are likely not willing to exept this advice as it is from me, the demon. Allow yourself time, give yourself as much time as you need for whatever it is you want to achieve. Only time can heal and that is something you cannot force to pass. And you can not shorten the pain, but make it get smaller by accepting it. I say this as a person and not to get myself in a better position. I quite like being a demon, though not like you describe and see me. ;)
I will not tell you how to feel about me and I will not enforce a promise you wanted to make when you are not ready for it. But: Please have some mercy with me ok? I did not break your heart for fun and the thing you told me a few days back hurts so much...it was not fair to call me that. You said you take it back, but did you? *sigh* I know you don't like it sometimes, but I do have a heart...
Cheer up, I am sure the right girl is waiting for you around the next corner till you bump into her by accident. *pats* You know? Life is a wonderous place. We think we know it all and there we go again finding something turning things 180 degrees. Look at the sun and remember it will shine again tomorrow and a burnt heart will always stay warm.

You just happen to be the incarnation of one of the person demons of my phyche. You know how much I was afraid of losing you? You know how jealous I was of Steph? You know how afraid I was that you'd get together with him?
The answer to all of those should be self-evident. By following the path you did, you fulfilled many of my worst nightmares (but not the ones with spiders in them). Is it any wonder that it hurts?
And I do want to stay friends. Of course. You're just gonna have to put up with a somewhat tempermental Brian for the time being...
What shall I reply to that? That I did not leave because of Stefan? You know that. That we have discussed this to great detail before? You remember that. I left you 'cause you made mistakes too not just me. So guess what: I am hurt too sometimes, but you also know that.

In more important news: Asia have reformed their original line-up and are going to be touring! On that grander scale of things, seeing Steve Howe, Carl Palmer, Geoff Downes and John Wetton live ranks as much more fun than going over the same arguments over and over again. Now I have a few months to spread the music of Asia throughout the gang... ;)
