I read the news today, oh boy...

I got two letters in the post this morning...

The first one was from Tescos, telling me that I hadn't got the job.
Gah >_<

The second one was a cheque from Brunel, paying me back for my electrical adaptor.
All debts have now been paying.

Goodnight.

electrical adaptor, brunel, money, tescos, jobs, cheque

Tescos - I'm not overly surprised. Most supermarket employment filters are wickedly draconian these days, where luck plays as much a part as skill when it comes to filling in the forms. Better luck elsewhere!

The forms were weird. They cared not about my qualifications et al, but what was I expecting?

Thanks :)

Exactly. I had enough pain with Sainsburies (being snobs) and M&S ('thankyou, but you put a wrong answer. You can't apply again for 6 months lolz kthnxbye'). I'm now suspicious of getting jobs in retail :/

Personally, I wish that we didn't have a summer "holiday", but instead just had an extra term at Uni! With extra student loan, of course ;)

Oho, I know what you mean. As much as I always enjoy the end of the academic year (spiritually), I've not enjoyed Summer breaks for some time. If left be, I end up sitting outside at 5am with fruit juice and ice cream, watching the dawn before going to bed.

Not that I can't do that in EG, o'course...

I *used* to enjoy summer holidays, just not anymore....

Well, quite so...
