I, Cosmic Bob

We went to see I, Robot yesterday. It was far better than I anticipated. It was much closer to the spirit of Asimov's stories that the previews would suggest. Sure, they sexed it up a bit, but basic premise seemed to roll alot of his ideas in it. I enjoyed it. Will Smith was good, and the hottie female lead was pretty nice too.

The effects were good, though some were a bit too CGI like. And then there was the most blatant peice of product placement I've seen in a long time. The Vintage 2004 Converse Tennis Shoes. I would be willing to bet I could go to some shoe store and pick those up. Shameless, since they had nothing to do with the story at all. Not like the futuristic Audi, which could easily be seen as essential to the story.

And there was a preview for Alien Vs. Predator. This movie has so much potential. Both for good and for bad. I liked the trailer, so I will probably rush out and see it when it arrive. There is no fucking way it can be as bad as Aliens III or Alien: The Resurrection (Sorry Joss).
