Hello LiveJournal. You have a lot of competition these days. And I'm less interesting.

Left work early because I was dead tired and didn't have anything to do anyway. Went to bed at 6PM and woke up at 12:30AM. Had strange fun dreams about flying, swinging, high trampolines, etc.,--things that would give me a fear of heights in real life. In the dream I was depressed about my move to SF, hence me seeking these fun things to do. At some point I was being herded with a group of people as if I was on a class outing. Imogen Heap showed up from no where and took me to an abandoned, partly-demolished house on the beach, where she played her latest song for me on a piano that was old barely holding it together.

One whole side of the house was missing and sand had blown into all the rooms, partially burying whatever was left in the house, including the piano. The piano appeared to be made of dried drift wood and didn't quite work as expected, though it worked well enough for the song. I had a little conversation with Imogen Heap about music before other people showed up and tried to herd me up into the group again. No one seemed to notice who Imogen Heap was, though they danced to her music, and they certainly didn't care that it was special to me to get to talk to her. She left, I got in a van, and then I woke up.

I'm going to assume this dream was about the stress of finishing school, moving up here, finding a job, having a major that didn't appreciate the music I love, being in school/work with people who are more competent at a younger age, etc. The Imogen Heap part symbolizes the music I love and want to do. At this point it's important that I pursue it and ignore the herded herd.
