“Ai ya!” Mal shouted as he jumped from his chair and glared at the girl who had snuck up on him. “Would you not do that?!”
River smiled innocently. “Not do what?”
He rolled his eyes. “The sneaking up on people thing. It’s down right creepafying.”
River closed to distance between them. “You only don’t like it because you know I’ve been listening to the words dancing in your brainpan.”
“Well, there is that…”
She pressed her lips against his ear. “I like the words. Pretty images I want to try.”
Mal grinned. Maybe he didn’t mind creepafying after all.
