My cat Max is terrified of children. He also likes to go for excursions outside on a leash. Today I decided to take him out for a bit after I got home from work. It was going great, he was having a good time, until he spotted my neighbor's kids about 10+ feet away. Oh, the freakout that ensued...His fur immediately bristled, and he ran-no, leapt through the air-all the way around the corner of the house where he then tried his best to scale the fence. I had to pry his paws off the chain link and rush him, wriggling and squirming, back inside the house. He must have been really treated badly by some kids in the past to invoke such terror...
