Sam didn’t have his medication. He suggested skipping the valium so he could stay up and watch Dean, but Cas called Alan, got the proper doses, filled him in on Sam’s whereabouts, and hit the hospital pharmacy with a prescription. Sam glared when he returned with dinner, more Gatorade, and the pill bottle, but Cas pretended to ignore him and turned ( Read more... )

I know this was supposed to put a happy spin on the angst fest that was the first part but this made me tear up even more. Having lost most of my family without getting that final farewell I can completely empathize with Sam and his fear of not getting to say goodbye. When Cas pulled Sam out of Dean's room and assured him that he would always be there for Sam if something happened to Dean it made me choke up. I loved Dean at the end giving Sam purpose in the event something did happen to him that Sam would go to Cas so they could both find strength in each other to continue to live their lives. Wow, I need to go open another box of tissues because of you. Please keep these stories coming.

Stop it. Stop making me cry.

When Sam took Dean's hand, and Cas assumed it was so Sam could feel if Dean's fingers twitched, and not because Sam needed that comfort, that broke my heart. When Sam started to fall apart after having been so brave and having kept it together, that was lovely. And when Cas realised that he wanted to nurture his own friendship with Sam, outside of being his boyfriend's brother, and that he was disappointed he'd not done so already, that was utterly wonderful and spiffy.

Also, this line: “Dude, it takes years to build up the proper diaphragm and endurance to get ‘Jefferson City’ out in one breath.” was hilarious.

And as always, I love Ash. And Anna. And Balthazar. And Ellen.

Wonderful. I just love how you're portraying the complex emotional relationships between these three scarred, determined men.

I sympathize with you on the allergies...I haven't stopped sniffing and sneezing all day!

Lovely...nice to see them all together at the end, one big screwed up family. Maybe they can get back what they had before all the badness happened to Sam...love this verse.

I do love the relationship you've built between them. Screwed up? maybe. But supportive and accepting too.

Technical glitch: This line posted twice:

“I mean...thank you for being so understanding about this. Bobby’s been real torn up.”
