Weekend at Gabriel's 2/2

Sep 24, 2011 10:00

Gabe takes them to a Champagne brunch to kick off their Sunday.
And sure, lots of people had bubbly brunches. But this one cost almost a thousand dollars for the two of them. Gabe didn’t even blink when he dropped the check. Cas did. All he could think was--that's fifty co-pays for Sam's Valium, a month of Dean's share of the mortgage, eight ( Read more... )

I have always liked Gab - he is the only one in Cas' family who is grounded and likeable :) Sam's message brought tears to my eyes. I am glad it affected Cas but saddened that Sam thinks he needs to go. I do hope you write more in this verse though because that is left unresolved. Although maybe Cas does want Sam to back out of their lives a bit. I dunno because Cas is - well, I'm not sure what Cas is because I've never been fond of him on the show, LOL! but this Cas is different. He is very much am emotional mess in his own rite :)

Hey thank you! I'm sooo glad to see you here! I've got plenty more to go with this 'verse, and there will be one final installment in this arc, where Cas and Dean get a little schmoopy and Sam begins to work through his separation anxiety. And there is an upcoming installment where Sam and Cas need to come together for Dean, so they get some time to work on their relationship as well. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!

lol! Well I probably won't have much to say about schmoopy Cas and Dean - that is so not my thing. One of the draws for me as been the lack of that between them. Their relationship has been low-key/comfortable and I've enjoyed that; the only slash relationship I normally enjoy reading is Sam/Dean :P so don't be offended if I don't comment on that one :)

No worries! You can skip all that and still follow Sam's storyline in that post. I'm not a big Dean/Casser myself, but I've had some great Dean/Cas shippers following, and I feel I owe it to them to give a little love. And after the premier, I need cuddling. So there'll be a little Dean Cas and that's lots of Sam snuggles in the post after. :D

Sometimes you do have to leave to come home. Heaven knows Sam understands that.

And unrequited Gabriel/Kali! I love!

Thank you! I LOVED Kali, wish they'd bring her (and Gabe) back!

I am very glad to see the three of them back together. And it is their way of not being mushy and all that...but I wish that we could have seen a bit more of how Dean felt about Cas leaving...I guess I just crave some show of affection between the two of them that doesn't involve Sam. I loved how Cas came to his decision with his brother talking to him about it.. and I loved Sam' voice mail message...make me sooo sad when I read it..great job

Hi there! Well, luckily, I live to please! There will be an additional story in this arc, one that is told from Dean's POV, where we get some insight into his feelings about this whole episode. And when he does a little wooing of Cas. :)

The ending was perfect. And I'm glad Gabe was able to put it into words Cas could understand. He is an awesome big brother, though I would probably club him to death with a bookshelf if I have to deal with him for a day.

Sam was perfect. You make me love him so much in this, with his awkward attempts not to be a burden and his self-esteem issues and his good intentions. I'd love him here even if I didn't love him on the show. (Which isn't possible - just how awesome was he in the last episode?! < / random squee>)

Ahahaha, no breaking Gabe! I love him!

Oh my God, last nights's premier just...killed me. Everyone was so good. I was soooo excited to see Lucifer, heehee. That's how sick I am.

I actually freaked a little at Sam's speech because I was like "no no no, I wrote one similar....it's gonna look like I copied! Dang it, Sera!"

Anyway...I'd had a plan for the next two installments in this 'verse and now it's derailed, because I have to have fluff. I need the boys to snuggle. So that's on deck. Then I'll return to regularly scheduled angsting. :)

Oh, fluff is good! I love my angst and my drak fics, but in between I need cuddling and bed sharing.

I actually managed to miss Mark Pellegrino's name in the credits, so imagine my surprise when he suddenly showed up to fuck with Sam's already fragile hold on reality. (And oh boy, do I ever love Sam's rational arguments with his own hallucinations.)

I missed it too! I had heard a rumor that he was appearing in Season 2, but couldn't find it confirmed in any spoilers, so it was a serious thrill when he appeared! He's oh so good at being bad. :)
