So, here's how my day's been.
I get to work and find that the front desk person wants to go right home right now. I tell her to find coverage, the front desk person last night said she could do it. We call her, she now says she can't because she has school. I call another property, they have a guy but it will put him into overtime "I don't think my boss will like that" I say "sounds like a bad idea" I say "transfer me back up to the front desk" He says. I get a call 10 minutes later "The guy will be at our property at 11:30 so send someone to pick him up" He says. "uh..." I say. So the front desk person that wanted to go home sends the maintenance man to pick up the dude who will be going into overtime to work here.
I. am. now. going. to. have. a. head. explosion.
Be cause right after I find out about that I find out that a couple booked a package that we don't offer anymore and that I have to honor it because it's on our website that we didn't update when they decided to yank the package. It is a zoo package so we have to get tickets to the zoo for them. I asked the front desk person to send the maintenance man/driver to the zoo to do it like an hour before I reminded her again and she'd sent the guy to another property to help out with some maintenance issues, so I went, got the tickets and had to deal with the girl at the zoo's attitude when I didn't know how old the child was that I had to buy the zoo ticket for (2 adults and 1 child's ticket, but they have 3 price tiers depending on age...gah!), I told her why I needed the tickets and she was like "ooooooh okay" she was much nicer after I told her that I'm a glorified lackey. ugh!
I have people threatening not to come in, people who don't do their jobs well anyway.
The restaraunt guy is serving a skeleton buffet breakfast because he's pissed at our corporate office.
Direct bill people, who haven't paid us and keep sending us billing rejection letters, are calling me to find out where their bills are. So their corporate right hand doesn't know what their corporate left hand is doing.
I haven't had a lunch.
I had time for only one cup of coffee today.
And....I still have filing to do.
I love my job!!
