I'm adding these all to my library list (that is where I get most of my films) tonight. Feel free to suggest any other films or TV shows you think I'd like or that you like or that you think represent the best of Englishness. Looking forward to my days and evenings with a beer and popcorn and bleak films. Bleak is one of the things I like best in a good flick. Seriously. Very envious of your Reed connection and I bet you have tales to tell that I would love to hear. There is a bio on him that I'm going to get around to one of these days too. Would have loved to go out drinking with him (or any of his offspring). Although I have no idea what they are really like, I have an almost fetishization of what I think an English Pub or Tavern is like, although I imagine it is based mainly on ones in films 40 years old or older.
Thanks again - I like having you as my British Film Tour Guide. By the way - you are Hoskins/Reed level in my book. ;-)
