Dull dull dull....
Right, its been about 2 and a half weeks. I'm still jobless, still unable to drive, and definately bored.
Its amazing just how time-consuming job hunting can be! I've put my CV into loads of places, and had it tweaked by lots of people, my favourite so far is the 'man called Ramesh', he was really nice, actually productive, suggesting things in acordance with my answers, rather than asking what I wanted to do.. Yesterday I was looking at graduate schemes, one with JPMorgan, but I don't think I really fancy going to New York to train, to be honest.. An opportunity might come up today, thats why I'm up so early, its only data entry, and only for about 2 weeks.
Driving - so far I blow. Stalled the driving instructors car, only once though. And had a little drive round a corner. We played around with the clutch, and the accelerator a bit, its dual control so I can't go anywhere..! But I'm also having a little practice with my Dad in the mornings before he goes to work. He didnt leave the wheels straight, so I veered off and didn't know what to do. The vocabulary concerning the clutch is NOT logical!
'Ease off the clutch' = press it more.
'More clutch' = ease your foot off it.
Not really understanding that. Anyway, I might have to rearrange my next one to an evening, and I want more than one a week.. I just want to get it over with as quickly as possible.
Anyway.. What else, err... I've planned 4 out of 5 Guide meetings. If I get a job, that means I'll be working full-time, my Mom will be working full-time, and Bev is currently still looking for a job in a primary school, therefore not working full-time. I'd like to bet, anyone who'll take me on, that I still end up planning and organising all the Guide meetings, even though Bev sits around all day, waiting for jobs to fall into her lap. She is so lazy..! Its a good job I'm still enthusiastic, else we'd have no Guides left, they's have all left for someone else.!
Im still hoping to move out of home as soon as possible. Need a job first. Grr..!
