I don't think I've ever seen a more effective scene of Merlin than Morgana being poisoned. So charged, so horrifyingly sad, so excellent. I'm so proud of my little baby show!

Man, I liked him. And he carved Merlin a little wooden dragon. Such a good daddy. ♥
This episode is all about Merlin and Arthur getting back to the Epic Friendship and Epic Banter, and it was absolutely breaking my heart in every one of those scenes, because I kept whispering to Merlin to tell Arthur now now now but he never does. Because Arthur's off fighting five meters away and never notices Merlin doing magic / calling some dude his father / anything. And eventually that just means that Arthur should never ever forgive him, when he does find out.
I know, SV PTSD showing like whoa, but at any point in the episode had Merlin told Arthur, he would've handled it like Lex in the Mental Breakdown Episodes. Which is to say: so perfectly. And Merlin, when you're saving the whole of Camelot while using magic, you can tell Arthur.
Because when he finds outs, he won't just be pissed off about the lying and everything but over how he never saved anyone just by himself.
