That was PROPERLY GOOD.
Arthur and Merlin (and Uther) took turns absolutely breaking my heart, with loyal Merlin telling (possible) lies to protect Arthur from Arthur himself the most heart-breaking-est. Because when Arthur finds out about everything, that is what condemns Merlin. Lies and lies covering the truth and yet more lies.
I don't watch Smallville anymore. This is the only show that does Epic for me anymore.
