Day 04: A song that makes you sad
I couldn't narrow it down to just one, so you guys get a twofer this evening. Lucky ducks.
Number one:
This song has always made me incredibly sad, just 'cause I am a huge sap like that. But then why my niece died several years ago, this song was played at her funeral. So it's kind of a double whammy for me now. About the time the first verse is over, I will probably be choking up.
Number two:
Long story short, I have never met my father. While most of the time this doesn't phase me, and I have had a wonderful life with my mom, there are times when I get too deep into my own head and think a lot of the things that Kellie reflects on in this song. I realize it's for her mother, but really. I just relate to this and like I said, I'm a sap.
