My summer has taken a turn for.. well, it is has just taken a turn. I am exchanging three jobs for one job; I will be managing a concession stand at a public pool with a good friend of mine. My sister calls it "The Sims Project." It should be interesting, hopefully my friend and I do not hate each other at the end of it; the first three weeks we will be working 11-7, 7 days a week.

Hopefully we won't kill each other..

So, how about the World Cup? I def. enjoy getting up early to catch some of the games. How fucking disappointing are the U.S of A so far? Shit, they are playing sloppy fucking soccer; they were clearly intimidated against the Czechs. Hopefully they can at least pull a tie off against Italy, though it looks like USA will be making a fast exit from this year's world cup.

But mane, I love watching soccer now.  A lot is lost when you watch though in comparison to being at a match; however, it is still great whether it is at the national level or the world level.  A lot of people I have spoken to about the World Cup keep saying, "It is soccer; it is boring; who cares?"  And part of me can see why the would say that, since the MLS blows; the talent is nowhere near any of the national leagues in Europe.  But the only sport I can sit and watch for long durations are Football and Lacrosse.  Baseball, Hockey, Basketball.. I cannot sit and watch any of those games on the tele.  I rather just wait for Sportscenter to give me the highlights.

Watching the World Cup though, England is def. the team you love to hate. I fucking hate Crouch; I fucking hate Gerrard; Beckham is hot and boy can he cross a fucking ball, but shit, for some reason he annoys me too. I do enjoy Rooney; outspoken, ridiculously good and resembles Shrek.

Moreover, I really like the Nike "Joga Bonito" adverts that play now.  They are really cool; they were a big deal in Rome while I was there and it would be hard to not see a similar impact here.. at least some of an impact.. maybe a blip.. something..

In other irrelvant news, I did two fantasy football drafts. Yes, I know it is June; however, I want to get ready for when I do the league with my friends and thoroughly beat them like I did last year. Here are them results..

I found that my 2nd draft (We Ready..) went considerably better than my 1st (Shogun) and i had the first pick in that draft. I did not know Harrison recently underwent surgery until after the draft and I drafted Eli way too high. There are some consistancies with the teams: mainly Brees and Wilford and my moon-lighting pick went to Hilton at New Orleans. I am convinced that Hilton will benefit from Brees and they should become a nice fantasy tandem.
