robber at La Quinta Inn
Ok. Well as the title says, there was a robber at te hotel at 5:30am Saturda morning. Ok.. well first off, let me say I'm an idiot. Or maybe just an idiotic gryffindor who acted without thinking. Despite what the article in the Gazette said, I was not hit with a rock. The cops who reviewed the security tape said it. But I know what hit me in the face and that was a closed fist. Well it did hit me twice but there was no rock. The cash drawer was between us, maybe thats what they saw. However there was a huge slab of a rock on the counter. I think that's where they get confused. I can't believe I tried to stop him and he made off with maybe $55. Pretty sad, huh? So I went to the hospital. All is ok, just bruised not broken. My face does have a few cuts under my eye, but thats from my glasses breaking. My elbows pretty bruised to. But with workman's comp, they make you go to the hospital. So I've had the crainial, jaw, and elbow x-rays and a catscan for my eye orbit. No problems seeing, just a bit puffy, but at least that's gone down some. here's a picture.
I had a request for it, so I figured I post it as well. The cuts are from my glasses breaking. Thank godness, we no longer use real glass for lenses. But it doesn't really hurt. Just a bitof ibuprofen needed. My manager had to talk me into staying at home last night. I didn't want to miss work but she made me. They kept saying I was in shock. i think it's because I wasn't making a big deal about it.
