I Drove a Lot
Despite claiming to be a rational person, I do believe in omens. It's not that I believe spirits or ghosts or faeries exist and try to pass on helpful messages or ominous warnings. That would be as silly as burning sage to repair a 1996 Chevy Astro van.* The disruption of a nice beach side vacation by thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail though can seem a bit more than coincidental. The car did survive the trip, though. I really enjoyed the days on the road, though I wish I had taken more pictures.
*Don't joke about having a "cursed" vehicle in a herbal remedy shop. Just trust me on this one.
