Emilie Autumn
Oh my fucking Goddess that was a good show! I needed that badly, I feel %100 better than I have been feeling lately. Nothing like 4 women in sexy outfits pretending to be women put in an Asylum for things like lesbianism, cannibalism, and piraticalism. I don't think that last one was a word. The show was fantastic though, there was great music, sexy times, fire, stilts, and a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody!
There was a small hiccup though. During the concert Emilie was talking to the audience about what she likes to do while alone, one of the women in the audience for some reason yelled out "Get raped?" Which of course did not go over well with either the crowd or Ms. Autumn. Rape is already a fucking stupid thing to joke about but it is even worse considering what Emilie has gone through, being raped herself at one point, and so many other things. You can read some of the stuff on her Wikipedia Page. Emilie got pretty upset and talked about the whole thing for a bit and seemed almost ready to walk off the stage but the rest of the crowd, ie those of us who don't think rape is funny, were supportive so thankfully she kept going.
Except for that incident it was a great show and I hope to see her again next time she's in the area.
