I guess I'm supposed to do one of these a day for thirty days.
I kinda want to answer them all now but we'll see if I can be patient.
This meme is very timely as I have just gotten back into writing. I am writing my Canadian Zombie Movie.

2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you're writing about fictional places)?
4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol' pen and paper?
7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
8. What's your favorite genre to write? To read?
9. How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.

The Omega Question sounds like a good title for a taut political thriller...or maybe some scifi. I don't really write those so maybe one of you other writey types can steal it.
I also don't like to tag people. So I will suggest a few of my writier friends and tell you to go read them but this in no way implies they must do this meme. Though I found it quite enjoyable and maybe a little educational to boot.
First I'd like to 'tag' Sabotabby. She has already done the meme and her answers were entertaining. Especially the bits about her porn. Speaking of which having tag in quotes like that makes it seem dirty...or is it just me? Anyway she is writing an awesome comic called ProsArch and also some other stuff but I don't think it is posted anywhere.
Next there is Curgoth who writes dark stories about Dickensian worlds and people who eat Smurfs. His worlds are definitely suited to my taste though he could use more super powered children.
Last I will suggest tryslora who I know writes extensively. I do not remember her posting much of her work online but just from the tidbits and hints I have gotten from her journal I really want to read her novel.
