Day 2
It appears that 'Landel' is no longer here. A general by the name of Aguilar is now in charge, and the whole place has become a boot camp. The food they serve us tastes like shcardboard and doesn't even look real. Our uniforms have also changed from gray shirts and sweatpants to military garb. I wonder why the change was so sudden. This couldn't be the result of one food fight, could it?
I met Badd during second shift. He reacted completely unlike his usual self, being terrified of me and saying I should have died several years ago. It was as if he were on some kind of hallucinogen. He also claimed that Kay had been here before, but I have yet to hear anything about her from other patients. I posted a note for her on the board that wasn't responded to by anyone. Either Badd was spouting nonsense or no one knows her. You'd think someone would notice a ten year old girl running around a place like this. I'll try asking again tomorrow. Still, it worries me that he's here. What's happened to Kay now that he isn't back home to watch her?
Well, Badd and I are supposed to meet again tonight, so perhaps I can pull some more information out of him then. Hopefully he won't rip my arms off. He sounded pretty mad over the bulletin board. Of course, I know I must be careful tonight regardless of what he plans to do. I definitely don't want to repeat last night's events. One sting from one of those dog-sized scorpions is enough for me.
Speaking of which, the wound I received last night seems to be healing at an usual rate. When I got stung by the scorpion, I felt as if I would die. It was difficult to breathe and all of my muscles locked up. The venom must be incredibly powerful, but not lethal. The wound caused my leg pain whenever I used it earlier in the day, but now it only hurts if I apply pressure. It hasn't even been a full day since I received the wound. Very unusual.
I wish I knew just what the hell is going on around here.
