Tonight, a comedian died in New York.

Now, I've enjoyed the Watchmen graphic novel since first I discovered it digging around at my local comic book shop for Alan Moore goodness two years back. With the recent release of the movie, that admiration has returned full blast. At the height of yet another fit of Watchmen nerdness, I wasn't just satisfied with posters, or t-shirts, or even action figures. Oh no. No. I had to have...a plush.
A Rorschach plush, to be precise.
Rorschach, a.k.a. Walter Kovacs, is my favorite character. By and large, I'm sure he's most peoples' favorite character, and the most widely recognizable of the Watchmen. His character was based in part off of The Question, a (now) DC Comics character who was a journalist who donned a mask of a special material to hide his facial features, and whose brutal methods somewhat inspired Rorschach's own. Rorschach himself is considered a fairly right-wing sonofabitch who mostly sees things in black and white. Ordinarily, people that are that narrow-minded and pedantic bother me, but with Rorschach, I find I'm more drawn to a character that will stick to his guns. Anyway, there's a bit 'o history.
I digress.
Now, I'm kinda retarded when it comes to envisioning a humanoid character as 'cute'. It's just difficult for me if that individual isn't already chibi, or anthro, or some sort of already adorable animal. So, therein lies the difficulty in figuring out where to start with a cute, cuddly Rorschach.
Luckily for me, after quite a bit of searching I found someone who'd already built from scratch a simply adorable version of the masked sociopath himself, and I commissioned one off of the talented Kittyzilla. Here is her Etsy page.

Anyway, on to some pics!

He stands about 18 inches high, though he doesn't have wire armature or anything, so he can't stand on his own unless propped against something.

And here I've taken a bit of a closer shot to show the details on his trench coat (Kittyzilla really did an excellent job here; he's got everything right down to the scarf and pinstripes on the pants). Here he's showing you the Comedian's badge. His arms are also jointed for super finger breaking action! Weeee!

Just figured I'd share that. And for all those people who gloat and say "I've got the unmasked variant Rorschach figure" and "OMGjustpickedup the 1:6th scale eighty dollar Rorschach OHSHIT", to you I say: "Hah! Well mine's cuddly. And unique. So there." :P
