It's all the fashion designers' fault. I had to go bra shopping today, as my parents' washer has eaten all but 3 of the ones I moved with (not that they weren't on their last legs already) and wow. The selection is *awful.* Polka dots, those are okay, but stripes? Weird swirly patterns that remind me of nothing so much as the tackiest of paisley handkerchiefs? Whatever happened to lace, and satin, and a distinct lack of padding? Your boobs can't breathe when they're being smothered by a quarter inch of solid cotton in 90% humidity and 100 degree weather. They did have some very nice designs for A-C cups, but they had maybe 15 different designs total in my bra size. Show some love to the DDs, please! Has anyone else noticed that fashion these days doesn't flatter larger breasted women at all? I look like an idiot if I wear the current cuts, and have resorted to shopping only for men's t-shirts unless forced to wear something semi-formal. It's dress like a man or dress like an old lady, and I'd rather be a man any day. D:
Here's to hoping my wardrobe limps its way through another decade and I don't have to face another department store.
On a brighter note, the newest Cal Leandros book is out. Gonna crack it open a little later and see if it lives up to its incredible predecessors. Can't believe I didn't know it was out!
