Longer lengths of boning

Apr 08, 2011 14:24

Quick question here and hoping for good answers. I have great resources for regular steel and spiral boning in both 1/4" and 1/2" in lengths up to 15". But as I'm getting ready to do custom corsets for a lingerie shop in the area, I know I'm going to need longer lengths than that for the taller gals and guys.

I have one source for longer bones by the dozen, Richard the Thread, although I haven't purchased from them in years. But I'm hoping to find them at a better price than $9.00/dozen for the 17.5 through 20" bones and $10.50/dozen for the 20" through 24".

So, help please?

And before anyone asks, I really don't want to cut and tip my own; not at this point. I haven't the arm or hand strength to do it nor, more importantly, the time. We're looking at something like 60 people wanting custom corsets and this is in *addition* to my regular sewing business. (I guess this falls under "be careful for what you ask!")
