As much as I love Itunes, it is also extremely frustrating. For example. You realize itunes could just not have those songs available at all until the full album's release date, right? If anything, itunes is doing you a noble service by offering you the chance to download and own your favorite singles before their full CD is released. Singles have been around for years, and it's not exactly itunes fault that the music industry works this way. Companies have one goal - to make money, and to do this, they need to bleed us dry. It's not enough to sell us something once when they can sell it to us twice. Just look at home video formats. I almost had heart palpitations the other day reading about HD v. Blueray (or whatever it's called) DVD's realizing this means I'll be repurchasing my movie collecting YET AGAIN sometime in the future.
I guess itunes could offer the option of paying a reduced price for a CD if you've already purchased some of the songs off of it. That might not even be that hard to work out logistically. BUT, if I'm Steve Jobs, and already reportedly taking it up the a$$ on mp3 sales due to the record companies take, I probably wouldn't put this snippet of an idea on the forefront of my things to do list.
So yes, I agree itunes is frustrating. But it's not itunes so much as the entire world we live in is frustrating. stick it to the man, not the itunes. :)
