When did it become a requirement to purchase something on 14th February just to prove your love to the person that you wake up with every morning? Doesn't he already know that I love him? I tell him regularly how much he means to me. I don't feel that buying a card and giving it to him tomorrow will prove how much he means to me. Bringing him Ginger Ale when he has the flu, or listening to him complain about things I don't understand, or making trips to see things I don't want to see should show him how much I love him.
He certainly doesn't need to give me a card or a flower or chocolates to prove himself. I know how much he loves me... I know what an evil bitch I can be when I'm cranky, and he's still around through all that. It has to be love, or perhaps a slight case of insanity, but I'm leaning more towards the former. He's such a wonderful man, and I'm really glad that I met him.
Tonight we are going to see Can Can at the City Center Encores! I'm quite excited about this, as the legendary Patti LuPone will be starring. What makes it even better, is that our tickets were only $15.00! I love that we get all sorts of deals on tickets to shows. I can't imagine paying $100.00 to see something as awful as
Taboo was! Although I think that Broadway should be supported, and people should go see shows, I just have issues paying that much to see a show. I can't imagine that it truely costs THAT much to produce a show every night.
Have I mentioned that we are going to London? We leave on 10th March, and will be back that Sunday. We are only going for the weekend, but it will be fun. So many people don't believe that it's possible to travel to London for a weekend, but think nothing of going to Las Vegas for a weekend... The flight to Vegas is longer! It's really only about 5 hours of flying time to get there from here, and tickets at this point are really great. The only problem is that the exchange rate is horrible right now. Maybe that's why it's cheap to go there... they (being the evil English I suppose) lure you on holiday with low fares, and then get all your money by making the exchange rate bad. I'm sure that this all the fault of the homosexuals... since civilization will cease to exist now that
San Francisco started issuing marriage liscenses to gay/lesbian couples. I don't really know how all that hoopla in SF will end, but maybe some people will see that the sky has indeed, not fallen, and life will continue as normal, now that the gays are getting married...
