Whoo! I have passed 60k words, writing up In the Wake of the War. This now puts me just over 130 pages into it, typed. Of the material I have hand written out, I have finished three of my five little journals, and am about a chapter into the fourth on. Sweet Christmas, I've caught up to the things I've written in the last year!
I think when I get it finished and edited, I'm going to submit it to DAW books first. Because they apparently accept unagented submissions, and that's a publisher I've seen on the spines of books when I was looking around at Borders. (After that, I think I'll try BAEN, but I've only seen BAEN science fiction at Borders. Writer's Market says they do fantasy, too, though...)
Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! It's the holiday which celebrates gratitude with gluttony! (I like Independance Day a little better, though, because we celebrate pride with hotdogs and explosives.)
