Secret No Longer
Birthday story for genuka based on one of her challenges.

Crossover: Buffy: the Vampire Slayer/Stargate SG-1.
Challenge: Challenge 5375 by genuka.
Dr. Jackson visits his friend, Dr. Giles, in Sunnydale on Halloween. They dress up as each other. When Halloween's over, both of them remember everything that the other knows, including the Slayer and the Stargate program. What do you think is going to happen next and how do they react to that knowledge?
Rating: FR13, because I mention a male/male relationship.
Pairing: No pairing. Friendship between Rupert Giles and Daniel Jackson.
Spoilers: Set during the Buffy Halloween episode. No detailed spoilers.
Summary: Rupert Giles and Daniel Jackson meet up in Sunnydale. They really should have set a date after Halloween.
Story: Secret No Longer
Twisting around until he could look over his shoulder, Giles frowned at the man he found sleeping behind him, an arm wrapped firmly around his waist. At least they were still fully-clothed. Thank goodness for small mercies.
Turning back around, Giles resigned himself to being held captive for a while as his friend, Dr. Daniel Jackson, didn’t seem inclined to let him go. On the contrary, every time Giles tried to get out of bed, Daniel’s grip tightened more around his waist. And once again Giles counted himself lucky. This time, because nature wasn’t calling.
Glaring at a patch on his wall, Giles thought back to the night before, hoping that something would give him an idea as to what exactly had happened.

Unbeknownst to Giles, Daniel had woken up while he was contemplating the night before and had started doing the exact same thing as Giles: frantically trying to recall what had happened the night before. Holding another man in his arms while in bed wasn’t a new occurrence for him, but it was strange that the man in question was his good friend Giles. Definitely not something he’d ever tell his lover. But he digressed.

Suddenly Giles and Daniel both bolted upright and looked at each other
“Demons?! Slayers?! Magic?!” Daniel yelled accusingly.
“Aliens?! Stargate?! Goa’ulds?!” Giles yelled back equally accusingly.
They both glared at the other
Daniel said threateningly, “Oh, you’ve got a lot of explaining to do!”
“Me?! Don’t think you’ll get away with not giving an explanation either!” Giles replied.
Crossing his arms over his chest, Daniel gave Giles a look that pretty much said “you’d-better-start-talking-fast”.

Giles sighed and rubbed his forehead in hopes of getting rid of the headache he could feel starting behind his eyes.
He really should have known better than to think that Halloween, normally such a quiet day on the demonic and/or magical front, would result in a nice day off in a small town called Sunnydale, home of the current Hellmouth.
Taking a deep breath, Giles decided to start his explanation with why they had each other’s memories and to go from there. Fortunately he didn’t have anything else planned, because it was looking to become a long, boring, explanation-filled day.
