Remember Not

Summary: Xander really should have expected some silliness from his newly-found father. Warning: pure silliness.
Story: Remember Not
After Sunnydale had changed into a sinkhole Xander had been ecstatic when he found out that Tony Harris hadn’t been his real father. Finding out that his real father was from England like Giles hadn’t dampened his excitement at all. And if he had pouted when he first learned that his real father preferred tea and scones over coffee and Twinkies, that was nobody’s business but his own. Discovering that his father had been a top-notch prankster when he was young went along towards smoothing over that particular disappointment.
All in all, Xander really should have expected some silliness from his newly-found father. He just hadn’t quite expected it to come out the way it had.

“Hey, Xander, could lend me forty pounds?” Remus asked his son, stepping into his bedroom where he was catching up on Willow’s news at his desk. “That way I don’t have to go to the bank to convert gallons.”
Two twenty-pound notes neatly placed in his hand were all the answer he got.
Remus laughed. “Could you look at me for a second, Xander?”
Raising a confused eyebrow, Xander watched as his father began to perform something similar to the wax-on/wax-off motion in front of his eyes. Apparently satisfied with what he had done, Remus turned to leave the room, leaving Xander wondering as to what exactly had happened.
“Um, what did you just do, dad?”
Turning, Remus smirked. “Oh, I just made sure you didn’t remember you lend me money. That way I don’t have to pay you back.”
With that being said, he left the room, a satisfied smile playing around his lips when he heard Xander’s laughter following him out the door.
