Some people have a hard time trusting others. And a name can be quite powerful and dangerous if given to the wrong person.

Ma'am. I know that Heero lied to Pride giving a false name, but so did I. We were trying to protect ourselves. Pride was looking for me, and I don't think he would have done anything nice if I had given him my real name.
