[ Her voice is still a bit quiet on this subject - Mami left pretty recently, after all, and the girl's departure has impacted her quite a bit. But at least Homura is still here. ]

It's hard on us when people leave because...we're all still stuck here, and then we're stuck without whoever left.

But yeah, it's better if people go home as long as it's gonna be okay there.

As long as I would know someone is happy back home.. that much would be enough for me. I'd try to.. definitely not be sad.

We're from the same world. [An almost-shrug is in her voice there. Being from the same world only matters to your friendship a) in the beginning and b) if you can remember or if you know each other in the first place. People here end up as friends for many other reasons.]

I know she'll end up happier there too.

Mostly, I think so. It's not always about whether your friends are better off, though. Sometimes it just gets lonely.

I can understand that.

There are plenty of 'test subjects' in this city, however... loneliness should be easy to stave off. Thus, one would expect that those you have grown closest to would be the ones you are most pleased to have freed from this world.

I understand why it is not so. However, I wish it were.
