Okay, so an update for you all. We shall be getting married in Mid to late May (date forthcoming) in Phoenix. So, those that are interested in attending, best to keep that time frame open and plan for a trip.
In other news, I have seen a number of films lately. They are:
Bad Boys II - **** : a bit absurd towards the end, but a high-adrenaline ride up until that point. A good escape that beats the original and solidifies Michael Bay as the best action director ever.
Pirates of the Carribean - **** : a revival of the pirate film, that is much better than a movie based on a ride has a right to be. A bit long, but great performances by Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush.
American Wedding - *** : fun, but not as good as its predecessors. A fitting wrap up to the gang, with a great dance-off, but a to-sweet Stifler.
Wrong Turn - * : predictable, yet quick. Not even clocking in at 90 minutes, this movies seems like it could be something, but never goes anywhere
Charlie's Angels - *** : sugary fun that never lets the story get in the way. Actually, the plot isn't too bad for such a film, and it has a great time stringing together so fun and impressive stunts.
Abandon - ** : a servicable entry into the psychological thriller genre that tries to develop characters and history while not wholely succeeding. In the end, it falls too flat, being a bit slow and quite predictable.
