hoo boy. well, back in providence, for the millionth time. last time up to montreal, i swear it.
my computer arrived! i am writing on it right now! it is so fancy and i am so happy. i can sit at home and play as much music as i like and peruse the AK press website for THREE HOURS and no one will bother me. mmmmm hmmm.
today was such an adventurous day for just being my first day back. i hope they're all like this:
+i went to a lot of class, and talked a lot, and liked my classes.
+i got a paper back and did well on it and i liked the paper and my one point that wasn't original.
+i went to do this program called "no small parts", just a little after-school drama club for these elementary school kids, that my friend emma runs. i'm going to do it too! they're going to write/direct/act an adaptation of the three little pigs, and perform it for the school by christmas.
+i got a computer
+i talked to my little sister this morning and she is still completely adorable
+i got mail yesterday
+i'm becoming friends with my old best friend emma again
+we had three trick-or-treaters last night
+i'm probably still in denial that i'm not in montreal right now
+i still have three cigarettes left
+i got invited to a fancy dinner party with people that i love
+maybe i have a thesis idea, even if i have nobody to share it with (except the internet)
+maybe soon, with the advent of this compooter, i'll have more music than i ever dreamed of
------ for right now my music collection still consists entirely of the tapes that i own, being: the police, the cure, morcheeba/portishead...um. kate bush? public enemy.
------------ i talked to my grandma and she is so lonely it broke my heart
okay, well, here's to friends, and friends, and friends who made me have the best weekend ever (i'm lookin at you, st.andre/bordeaux/clark/amherst/clemow st., ottawa).
