[The video switches on to show a damp-looking man fumbling with the device; he's got it upright, at least, but it doesn't look as though he realizes the camera's on. After a moment, he speaks:] Hello? Is this thing on all right? Can anyone hear me?
If so, well... What is this place? All I can tell so far is that it's called "the City," but it doesn't look anything like where I just was... I mean, you can see the sky and everything. If that really is the sky, and I'm not going crazy... [He glances upward.] That is the sky, right?
Uh, anyway. [He moves a hand to rub at the back of his neck, offering a glimpse of the black tattoo on his wrist.] Does anyone know where I could find something to eat around here? Or maybe some dry clothes?
