I don't care if this is self-absorbed...

I feel like writing proper year-end lists for my own amusement. But first I need quiet time to reflect, which I won't be getting until my brother goes back to Philly. That will hopefully happen tomorrow. For now, I'm just writing personal lists for myself, so when I feel depressed again, I can look back and smile.

Hopefully these won't make me seem as if I'm bragging. Remember, I'm a reclusive backwoods girl 95% of the time. Sometimes I think I deserved all of this:

10) Went to both Motherfucker in NYC and Making Time in Philly, and made it out of both STD-free!

9) Managed to do excellent at school, despite going into academic overload and taking a horrific independent study on Martin Heidegger.

8) Got Thurston Moore's email address (even though he didn't email me back, its still awesome!), and asked him who his favorite poet was.

...If #1 would have happened, then I would be certain that 2005 could never be topped. Some of this year is still an absolute blur to me, and there are only 4 days left! I mean, I actually talked to people this year? And some of those people were famous? And I didn't make a fool of myself in front of them? My mind's been permanently boggled.
