here is an excerpt from shays blog...can you say, trying-to-make-yourself-feel-better-because-you-couldn't-even-get-into-a-shitty-college-i.e.-University-of-Spoiled-Children...oh the elitism...

so i go inside and throw everything else on the floor and rip it open and pull out the letter... and the first word i see is...
... CONGRATULATIONS!... haha, i screamed my ass off and dropped everything on the floor and ran over to the phone and called my mom... i guess i should have read the WHOLE letter before i called her... BECAUSE, when i was reading it to my mom it became even more interesting... yes i was admitted to USC... but not til the spring of 2006?!?!?!?!?!?!
EW I FEEL SOOO SECOND CLASS... gross
so.... i have absolutely fallen in love with the idea of going to Lake Forest... I mean look at all these reasons: i'd be top of the class, i'd be the first choice for study abroad programs and internships, i've been recruited to run cross country, it's the most amazing campus ever (like a 2-minute walk from lake michigan), best college town (i love lake forest), they really want me (they're flying me out this weekend...tomorrow), i'm a presidential scholar there, and hello chicago!... the train station is like on campus and goes directly into chicago for like three bucks... lake forest has truly become an ideal place for me... even if i hadn't gotten into usc i'd have been entirely fine b/c that just means i'd get to go to lake forest and i love lake forest
but i still love USC... i've always wanted to be and still want to be a trojan... and i'll get to be
why choose one, when you can choose both? i'll spend this fall at Lake Forest... and then enroll at USC to begin my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Relations and a minor in French (possibly Advertising)
and on a future note.... i've already begun my plan for my MBA school and Yale is at the top of that list...
