I don't know what's gotten into me, but, as my subject heading would suggest, I'm feeling oddly perky. After about a week of near-catatonia, I actually...feel like doing things! Amazing! My lovely new icon isn't actually accurate, but I don't care. I'm using it anyway. Kitty + Crowded House lyrics = Caitlin happy!
So, I did all sorts of exciting things over the weekend. First I went to my brother's band concert, enjoying our lovely tornado warning in the midst of a crowd of middle school parents and students. Joy. We then drove in the rain to some little hotel in northern or possibly southern Indiana where there were a bunch of wrestlers for a conference. Lots of teenage boys in athletic wear. Couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting one.
On...let's see...Friday, my family and I took a tour of Washington University of (in? at?) St. Louis. My dad ducked out fairly early though, and my brother soon followed. Washington University was pretty cool, although after hearing it referred to as "Wash U" about eighty times, I kept wanting to yell, "No, wash YOU!" I actually couldn't have looked more like a loser at that point; I actually forgot what state I was from when we were doing introductions.
But anyway, Washington has a FREE art museum and zoo just across the street, which is pretty nifty. After that, we all went to stay at Rich Millionaire Playboy's house. It was HUGE. I got my own bedroom with a DVD player and VCR, though apparently RMP is too cheap to pay for enough batteries for all his remote controls. There was only one set of batteries for three controls. Go figure.
Saturday, we drove over to my Aunt Sally and Uncle Tom's for my cousin's graduation party. Apparently all anyone knew about me was that I had visited Wash U the previous day, so I got asked about it a dozen times. Oh well.
Yesterday, I saw Shrek 2 and Gladiator. Both were okay, neither stands out as one of my favorite movies.
Only six days left of school. Yay!
