So I've been contemplating creating a WoW Rogue for a while now, and this weekend my main server went down about two hours before I planned on logging off, so I figured "What the heck, lemme try rolling a Rogue".
I've also been wanting to check out how an RP server varies from a PvE server, so I logged into one of those and rolled an Alliance (human) rogue. This is almost a complete 180-degree turn for me, given my other two characters are a Troll Warrior and an Undead Warlock. I am just trying to bring balance to the for...er, make that my WoW habit. Actually I just wanted to see the other major citites without getting ganked as I approached them.
Observations of an RP server:
1. The character and guild names are almost universally better. Maybe it's the RP server regulations, or maybe it's just the people, but I love seeing guild names like the "Eastvale Trading Company".
2. On my PvE server, when you walk into a bar you meet those people who are just passing through town. On the RP server you walk into a room full of dancing characters who are just enjoying the chit-chat. A very nice distraction, especially when one of the female characters is dancing on a table with nothing but her undergarmets on hehe.
Overall I enjoyed the change of pace the RP server offered. If only it was an RPPvP server, then both of my untried environments could have been put to the test at once.
