[Sounds of tinkering and clinking are heard in the communicator. Occasionally, a small cough or hum escapes Jade, and the silence continues, only to be interrupted by something dropping, something ruffling or a book being slowly turned page by page.]

If either one of you could drop by Latimir 414 for a moment, I'd like to finally discuss this little project of mine, while we have a moment's rest. The faster I finish this prototype, the better, I say.

[He sighs deeply] Who'd ever heard of an old man doing such grueling manual labor? Is that my back I hear cracking? If only someone could help me assemble this machine, then perhaps I'd be able to rest for a while...if only.
