The five greatest comedy sketches ever written
OK, so there may be some disagreement here.
But I was thinking what indeed are the greatest comedy sketches. Not just the funniest but the ones that will be remembered for many years.
So here is my offering (in no particular order), feel free to tell me the ones I've missed
(remembering that anything from 'Bo Selecta' should be killed with fire and forgotten).
The Dead Parrot Sketch
The ultimate classic.
Fork Handles (or Four Candles)
One of the Two Ronnies few moments of genius
As a bonus round I'd also add this recent variant from the One Ronnie
Going out for an English
If you saw nothing else of 'Goodness gracious me' you saw this
(not the original, but that version wasn't very good quality)
André Previn with Morcombe and Wise
Painful and hilarious
Mitchell and Webb Nazis
See Mr Fawlty, Mentioning the war can work
(again, a live version as the original quality wasn't good)
