Annoying start to the day
Well, I finally got my script back from the BBC writer's room,
and to my surprise and dissapointment they only read the first ten pages.
While I would have been surprised if it had got a second read or even moved to production,
I did think it would at least get a full read.
Doubly annoying as if it had been read I would have got some feedback which is what I really wanted.
So I am left with thinking,
a) The BBC has far higher standards for a first read than I expected
b) My script was a bit rubbish
I am slightly consoled with thinking my script was a bit marmite with my tutor liking it and the other examiner hating it. Even so, I am left wondering if I should give up on scripts.
Either way, I've not got time to write another at the moment anyway. So maybe I'll come back to the idea when I'm a bit less bummed out about it.
