Weekend in the rain
So I go away for a couple of days and suddenly everyone is posting on LJ.
too much to catch up on!
Indiecon was fab but I must have offended the god of travel rather badly.
Getting there was a long walk from the station, but armed with Google maps on my phone I decided the walk would do me good. The rain coming down on and off spoilt what would have been a rather nice walk in the night. Unfortunatly google maps has the location wrong, so on arrival after an hour's walk I discover I am an hour's walk away from the place!!!
Thank god the other guys had already got there and could get signal on their phones to help me out!
I also got lost walking back to the chalet in the pouring rain, mostly because the numbering made no sense. You don't expect No34 to be between No20 and No21!
Took 2 days for my shoes to dry and my brolly cannot be saved.
Getting home wasn't too bad, although such a shame to have to leave early on sunday. Especially as it was the only time we'd all had to really hang out together. The journey wasn't too difficult but involved replacement busses and night busses as well as the train.
Apart from travel it was a fab con though.
I managed to play a game! So thanks Nimrod for running Qin.
Then I ran Victoriana and 2 games of Doctor Who.
The latter having been an adventure I basically made up on the spot so some people could play. Worth running though as the players were all fab.
The only shame is that I still had no takers for Hellcats and Hockeysticks.
A little odd, but I am beginning to suspect that guys don't want to be the first to sign up to a game about schoolgirls! Especially as I've recently noticed many gamer guys who refuse to even consider female characters.
Will that make any difference to sales? No idea, we'll see at Dragonmeet.
BTW while you will be able to pick up a copy at Dragonmeet from the Cubicle 7 stand (thanks guys) you can actually order a copy from Lulu already.
