Better and better.

Ahhh. Life is relaxed and happy again. Benjamin is still home, pending a follow-up visit to see when he can go back to work, but he seems to be just about as good as new. I'm almost well, just a few sniffles and coughs here and there. We've both slept more in the last week than we have for a very long time. Ben's diet has been pretty limited with this whole medical thing, and it's nice that he can eat whatever he wants again. :-)

I tore into my overstuffed yarn bin yesterday looking for a project to do. I'd planned to work on something I had already started, but I found these 7 skeins of sparkly red yarn that I bought ages ago to make myself a poncho. The poncho is now about 30 minutes from being completed, which will leave me two of the skeins left to make a small project with. Anyone need a red sparkly hat or something? So here's my new goal: Go through the bins, find large yarn stashes that had been bought with large projects in mind, and make large projects. In other words, USE UP YARN!!! This will empty the bins out considerably, and allow me the freedom to . . . buy more yarn. Buwahahahaha!!! I've been fighting to NOT buy yarn for such a long time, because I had so much of it. But I want to buy yarn.

My half-crazed rant is done for now. Here is the rest of my plan for the evening. I'm going to go to my orientation and pretend, for three hours, that I am sane. This will hopefully convince my supervisors that they made a good choice in hiring me. I start teaching next Monday, at which point I do not have to pretend to be sane because they won't be there. I teach best when I'm a little crazy.
